Random Acts of Kindness on a Hot Day

It’s been a hot day as well as an interesting day. Around 1 pm today, I was in downtown Denver and I dropped my badge without noticing. I continued to my lunch destination when I was informed by email that someone had found my badge, someone from a different company in downtown Denver. That person called my company and explained they would hold my badge until I came to retrieve it.

I saw the email, looked down at my pants, and confirmed the badge was gone. How could I lose that badge and not notice? That said, how cool it is that someone stopped, picked up the badge, and took it to a safe place. Furthermore, the company held the badge until I was able to retrieve it.

On my way to retrieve the badge, I looked at the temperature which was 100 degrees. While sitting in my car which was struggling to produce cold air, I noticed a man running towards my car. He wore only boxers, socks, and tennis shoes. Not knowing what to do, I locked the car doors, kept the music on and watched. He danced around my car and on way I went to retrieve my badge.

There are good people in this world, even on hot days. I am not sure why that guy was dancing  in the street, but he helped me enjoy the moment as I felt my thighs sticks to the car seat.
