London Tube People Watching

Peter and I were on our way to a different station in London.  In a one to two minute span, my experience with Lip Balm became weirder because of my issue with staring. At one point, I was watching two young ladies in what felt like a slow motion experience. The photo in this post depicts how I feel when I emerge from the staring session in a train.

London Hair with Big Eyes

Someone, perhaps a friend, offered them lip balm. They reached over and got some of it on their fingertips. In slow motion, they spread the lotion on their lips in super model mode. Their lips were unique with a wide surface area. This resulted in more finger motion to spread that lip balm.

As this is happening, all I can think about are the germs from the hand pole they were touching before spreading the balm. What kind of disease were they spreading over their lips with this free lip balm? I was way too interested in this slow motion observation and snapped out of the creepy observation mode.

I can see why people close their eyes on the train. It’s exhausting to watch and analyze people on a train. That said, it was exhausting as well as fascinating listening to all the languages on the train. London is awesome and I will never forget the things I saw and heard on those trains.
